My interview with my mentor went very well. I talked to her and she gave me a bunch of information that I didn't know about before and this helped give me some insight in what to look for and what to do when I meet a person with brain damage or if someone decides to "fake" brain damage to get out of something or get a certain benefit from something that they should not get. I had a conversation with her for about an hour or two to get through all of my questions.
I learned many things while she answered my questions and I asked other questions that I didn't have listed because I didn't think of the new questions that I had already posted while learning new things and getting confused on other answers. For my questions that I asked she calmly answered all of them and gave more than enough information to the questions for my project. She gave me information that I didn't even ask for and I though that the information that she gave me would be useful in some other sort as background information if I ever have to write a report about this type of situation or something of this sort.
We talked to each other through face cam looked at other situations together as we brought up thought of other scenarios that might come up during life. We brainstormed on things that might happen in real life such as having a baby that gets brain damage due to oxygen loss and learning what to do and how to stay calm and not have to worry and do something stupid and hurt yourself or the ones around you. She actually brought in other people that she knew how to deal with brain damage as well and we had a group conversation with each other and had other opinions and information that my mentor would have overlooked or forgot to mention to me before I got off with her.
The interview was very successful and it was fun for both my mentor and myself. We both learned many things and had a great time talking to each other. We though about doing this again except with another topic that is somewhat similar to brain damage. The interview was never dull at anytime and was a pretty fun thing to do. If I had to do a project similar to this one that I was doing I would do the same thing. I would do another interview with another person because it was fun and it is good to learn something new from a master or person that studies about something that you don't have much experience or knowledge about.
